How To Pick The Suitable Footwear Personally?

It is very common to buy a wrong pair of shoes. Doing so may not only
be a monetary waste but also affect your feet. Of course, incorrect
shoes may cause medical conditions in your feet. You got to wear the
right pair of shoes in order to avoid such foot problems. The foot
wear must be shopped based on the type of foot, body and physical
activity.

Learning about the various arch profiles is the first step to buying
foot wear. Foot arches are categorized into 3 types namely normal,
flat and high. You can identify your foot type by observing your foot
prints thoroughly. A foot print that shows a half arch is often a
normal arch. Almost all types of shoes fit well for a normal arched
foot. Arched foot is also considered to be flexible and balanced.
Stability shoes would work great if a person with normal arched foot
performs more physical activities like running and walking. Otherwise,
a moderate cushion shoe would be ideal for a normal arch.

See whether your whole footprint shows all your foot, then you are
said to have a flat arch or a low arch. With this arch type; the inner
side of the foot is not well supported. Therefore, a motion controlled
shoe is well suited for this type of arch as it can aid in the
prevention of inward probation.

If the footprint shows just the ball and heel of the foot; it is
referred to as a high arch shoe. A cushion shoe would be an ideal
choice for this type of arch as a high arch does not adequately absorb
shock and a cushion shoe would aid in the restoration of natural
inward probation.

If you have skinny ankles, then you got to buy only those delicate
shoes with right heels or pointed shoes.Bulky or chunky shoes should
be avoided for skinny ankles because they may look over sized on
skinny ankles. However, if you have a thicker ankles, then a bolder
shoe would help in balancing the width of ankle. Those footwear with
heels and ankle straps should not be worn on thicker ankles.

When buying boots; ensure that the top part of the boot snugly fits
around the calf. Choose the boots according to your shape of your
legs. A thick heeled boot will help balance a fuller body. For shorter
legs; ankle straps should be avoided as they make them appear even
shorter. Mules and thongs are an ideal option for those with medium to
short legs. Most importantly; shoes that pinch can be devastating for
your feet.

While shopping walking shoes, make sure the front portion of the shoes
are flexible and bend easily. Try wearing those shoes and test whether
you are able to move your toes freely. Figure out whether the heel is
properly cupped inside the shoe. This way the shoe will offer adequate
cushioning and stability. Also, find out whether the heels are
supported well. You can do it by leaning your heels on the shoes and
assessing its support. It is always wiser to buy those shoes with
thick tongue as it may help in protecting your feet from the friction
that is caused due to laces. If you want to secure the Achilles tendon
while running, it is important to buy a shoe with a padding on the
ankle collar.
